Ladies,
Our Daily Bread Tour of new facility is set for Wednesday November 9, 2022 at @2:30 pm.
Address : 909 N. Loop 288, Denton,Tx
This is still a construction site so closed toes shoes are required.
Plan to meet in last row of Clubhouse parking lot at 1:50 if you plan to car pool.
Chris Anderson has volunteered to drive.
The new facility is very impressive to provide space for social and medical services as well as food and shelter to those in need.
There will be new volunteer opportunities as well since all the Our Daily Bread/Monsignor King services will be in one location.
Please advise me if you will attend so we know how many ladies to expect if you have not notified me prior.
Thanks….

Fellow Volunteers,
We are entering busy time of year for our Committee's holiday projects.
A planning meeting for Friends of the Family Adopt a Family program is set for
Monday October 10th at 3:30 pm in Legacy Room.
In 2021, 63 Community Outreach members (and friends/family) bought gifts for 81 children/teens and 16 Mother gifts.
Our team bought presents for the largest families.
Please be prepared to advise how many children you wish to purchase gifts for this year.
Diana Duncan and Suzanne Spisak have graciously offered to lead this Friends of the Family holiday project.
First step is to determine how many children RRWC Community Outreach will provide gifts for.
Please plan to have that number at meeting as you may want to ask friends or family members to team up with you.
Guidelines for gift purchases will be reviewed and questions answered !
If you can not attend meeting , please advise Diana Duncan
at [email protected] your purchase plans by October 28th.
Save the Date - Meeting November 16 th at 3:30 pm in Patriot Room to pick up gift lists.
If you can not attend, there will be a plan for you to pick up your list and tags.
There will be further details announced at October meeting for delivery gift date and show and tell party once all is confirmed with Friends of the Family.

Please SAVE THE DATE for next Community Outreach Meeting -
Monday September 12, 2022 at 3:30 in Legacy Room at Clubhouse.
Now that summer is winding down, I will address status of current projects and provide overview of fall and holiday projects to support our charities for rest of 2022.
Thank you all for your ongoing support/contributions this year.
Fall and Winter Projects
Our Daily Bread
At this time, there is a hold on new donations for household items and furniture for Our Daily Bread Rapid Rehousing Program. We have more stock ready in storage to build pallets than demand now and the Rapid Rehousing grant was not renewed by City of Denton. ODB is reviewing options to secure funding/grants at this time to pay for clients' move in expenses. RRWC is a vital partner with ODB to provide household needs to secure a new beginning for their clients and we will advise when there is room again to collect household goods and furniture. Thanks to all who have donated their time, goods and cash to ensure ODB clients are not entering an empty apartment for their new beginning .There are items that are needed that are not usually donated and an updated list will be posted as needed.
Thank you all for all that you do !
Any questions - please contact me.

"Welcome Home Baby"
Baby Supplies Drive
The Women’s Club is a vital partner with Our Daily Bread to provide household items and furniture to Our Daily Bread clients in their journey to independent living in their own apartments.
There are three new babies in this journey. A little boy, who is in an apartment with his family, and newborn twin girls, still in the NICU unit. When they are well enough, they will live in designated lodging until an apartment is available.
The Women’s Club will provide “Welcome Home Baskets” similar to our “pallets” for transitioning families.
Please check with your friends and family for baby items
to donate to these babies.
A Target baby registry has been established and includes all three babies. The registry will help guarantee we don’t get 100 onesies.
Although the registry is not complete, Kathi Ackermann has tried to include diapers and clothes for next 9-12 months.
All registry items need to be delivered to Kathi Ackermann.
Feel free to purchase other items or contribute gently used clothes and goods or cash.
https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/robson-ranch-wc-3-baby-registry
We also need furniture-type items not on the registry
and additional clothing items.

(books, cuddly toys, educational toys, etc.)
Kathi Ackermann is the “Welcome Home Baby” committee chairperson and in charge of registry and donation drop-off.
Please include your name on the donated items
and drop off at Kathi’s house:

Garage Brigade Move
Angela Waters is moving !
We wish her much happiness in her new adventure and thank her for sharing and organizing her Garage for Our Daily Bread Welcome Home Program.
Next steps- Garage Brigade decided best move for this ongoing project is to move to a storage area to store items ready to be put into pallets. We will still be using garage or two for drop off of donations and sorting items but we are out of room to handle it all in our garages.
Move: Sunbelt Storage on RT 407 in Northlake
Fees will be paid by ODB donor to Welcome Home Program.
Move begins Monday May 16th from Angela’s garage.
Let me know if you have any time to help in this project as Cj will take the shelving to storage on Monday afternoon.
It will take few days to get items form Angela’s garage and Lynn’s garage to set up storage area.
Thank you all for what you do! I am always amazed what you all accomplish for Our Daily Bread!

She praised and thanked Robson Ranch for our partnership with ODB to assist their clients to successful transition in their new homes with household goods and furniture waiting for them when they walk into their new homes.
Thank you all - RRWC is an inspiration to other women’s groups to become part of this journey.
Special thank you to Angela Waters for housing inventory for Welcome Home Pallets in her garage.
Share the Blessings- Program is working and thanks to all who support our charities.
Please review quick overview of the projects for RRWC charities below and contact me if you choose to volunteer for a specific project. A meeting will be scheduled for end of May.
Our Daily Bread
- Welcome Home Program is on hold for donation days for items for pallets. There are items now in three garages and a plan is in progress to consolidate the inventory. More information to follow. In the meantime, there is a need again for small boxes to house dish sets. and move inventory. I could use help in my garage breaking up dishes into service for 4 sets. Please advise if you have boxes and you can drop off at 8808 Bradford Street. Many thanks to Angela Water for use of her beautiful garage and along with Jennifer Phelps for overseeing Welcome Home Program.
- Furniture program - Ladies, Robson connection is the only source of furniture for clients at this time. Amazing! Lynn Teeling is tracking all the donations/pick ups from Robson residents and friends/families as well as attending estate sales for donations.
- Estate Sales have become a major source of donations for pallets and furniture to this program . We need help to manage the estate sales - please contact me if you love to scout out sales so you can find goodies for Welcome Home Program and Furniture Program. Lynn or I can provide details.
- Pallets- We expect need for 16 pallets from now until September for ODB clients. We also provide pallets for other agencies that work with ODB to house and that number can increase. There are clients that are expecting babies who should be housed this summer. We will advise details later and we will have a team to oversee collection of baby items for each child. Let me know if you are interested be part of this team.
- Community Garden at Deluxe Inn- Clients are working together to plant vegetable garden in planters in the pool area and flowering plants in pots to cheer up the premises . FUN ALERT - There is a ODB barbeque May 20th 4 to 6 at the Inn and the clients have invited us I know this is very short notice and hopefully some of us can attend I suggest we bring plants for their garden and we can bring cookies and brownies. We will collect plants from those who can not attend and wish to donate. SUMMER WISH LIST - picnic table and chairs; bean bag toss; dominoes and other games. Help- we need a leader/team to coordinate this event and donations.
- Please advise me asap if you will lead the garden way and track who will attend May 20th dinner.
Friends of the Family
- Projects for 2022 - Duffle bag is a new initiative - Sandy Conwell will oversee this program to provide necessities for violence/rape victims who are in hospital. More details to follow for this October program.
- Backpack program in July and Adopt a Family for Christmas presents are well known programs at the Ranch and will return this year . Please advise if your are interested to help lead Backpacks or Adopt a Family. donation drive.
Denton Community Food Center
- Emergency ! Thanks to all who donated funds/food for DCFC's emergency need to provide skillet dinners for their clients. Thanks to Donna DeBoever for collecting donations, buying and delivering 175 skillet dinners.
- November Luncheon Wine Pull - Rita Paxton will provide details for this fun fundraising event later in year.
As you can see, there is a need for volunteers at any time to assist our charities to meet their needs to provide services and goods and food to their clients. Please contact me by text at 214 585 3555 or by phone to advise your interest .
There is a continuing need for volunteers at Our Daily Bread and Denton Community Food Center.
You can sign up to volunteer on their websites and if you have any any questions , contact me.
It takes a village to manage the needs for RRWC Charities and I am proud to work with RRWC Community Outreach members
who are always there when a need arises.
If you are a new member to our committee, please reach out to me to participate in above 2022 projects.
Thanks for your support,
Donna Gardner

Hi Donna,
I wanted to follow up with you, I left flyers for our Jewels for Justice event at the April meeting, and wanted to see if any of the ladies would like to attend. We will have jewelry vendors, Kendra Scott, First People's and Wild Guess Designs as well as clothing and accessories by Chrysalis Clothing Gallery, catering by Chef Mark, mimosa, a masseuse and a silent auction.
Attached you will find the flyer and below is the link to ticket sales.
We would love to see some Robson Ranch representatives at this event, which will be taking place at Charla Bradshaw's home, which is right off Country Club road about 15 minutes from Robson Ranch.

Furniture Donations
The Community Outreach Program of the Women’s Club works with Our Daily Bread to transition those that have fallen on bad times and are now ready to move into their own apartment. As part of our current program, we provide a full pallet of home goods they need to get started from a roll of toilet paper to pots and pans.
As mentioned in our December meeting, the Rapid Rehousing Furniture Fund that ODB was able to use to provide the furniture needed for an apartment such as a bed, couch, table etc. is no longer available.
We are gearing up our furniture drive to help them meet those needs so we can provide household goods and furniture
to give them a complete head start on their new endeavor.
If you have any furniture that you are replacing or no longer need, think of us first.
Lynn Teeling will be head of this project. She can be reached by email, text or a phone call.
She will work with you to determine if what you are donating will fit in a one-bedroom apartment and arrange a pickup date.
We cannot accept anything that is too large to fit such as a triple dresser, a king bed or large dining table.

Items Needed:
Queen Bed/Mattress
Night Stands
Dresser
End Tables
Couch / Chairs
Small Kitchen/Dining Table
Pickup:
Right now we are working with a very fluid pickup schedule.
Until we can arrange for a scheduled monthly pickup date,
you must be able to hold on to the furniture until we can arrange for pickup.
We thank you for your continued support for our community!

Fellow Community Outreach Members,
Your dedication to Community Outreach’s mission produced outstanding results for 2021 for our program to end on a generous and beautiful high note. In the middle of busy holiday season ,Outreach ladies and wonderful spouses continued to volunteer onsite at Our Daily Bread and Denton Community Food Bank to provide much needed services during these hectic days for those in need.
Friends of the Family - You adopted 81 children and 16 mothers and provided them with necessities
and fun gifts to make their Christmas Merry!
Our Daily Bread - Christmas week, Community Outreach ladies baked over 1000 cookies and donated Christmas tins for those delicious cookies. A happy event took place at Lynn Teeling’s to fill the tins with homemade cookies, wrap up mugs for clients and sign Christmas cards to bring those at Deluxe Inn holiday cheer. ODB did a great job along with beautiful weather to make the lunch a festive event . THANK YOU all for your donations and time for RRWC to participate on this worthwhile day.
We ended 2021 on a high note and we are in process to complete 14 pallets for Welcome Home in January.
We are a group in motion.
A special Thank You to Nanci Odom for her leadership in the various charity projects all year for us to
provide help and support to RRWC’s charities.
Nanci also provides a fun atmosphere for RRWC ladies to get to know one another and work together for these great results.
Please plan to attend Community Outreach Meeting and bring your friends as we look ahead
to 2022 projects and activities to support RRWC charities.
Friday, January 7, 2022 2-3:30 pm at Clubhouse - Heritage
Happy New Year,
Hope to see you at Luncheon next Monday.
I am grateful for the support you have expressed to me as I prepare to Chair this amazing group in 2022.
Regards,
Donna Gardner,
